Marriage Celebrant

The ceremony plays a vital role on your wedding day, and selecting the right type is essential for bringing your vision to life in that special moment.

In today’s society, weddings have evolved beyond traditional norms. Couples now have the freedom to exchange vows at any licensed venue, at any time, and on any day of the week. This extends to the formality of the event, offering choices between a formal or relaxed atmosphere, a modern or traditional setting, and a large or small gathering. This flexibility empowers you to hold your ceremony wherever and whenever you prefer, providing complete control over the entire occasion’s flow. It allows the event to genuinely reflect your personal beliefs and lifestyle.

What’s Included
  • Initially, I will provide you with the links and information essential for filling out the preliminary legal marriage document, referred to as the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM). I can witness your signatures on this document during a face-to-face meeting. Alternatively, if you are not local, you have the option to have the NOIM witnessed by one of the specified individuals. It is imperative to have this completed document submitted to me at least one calendar month before your wedding day.
  • Following this, we will arrange a meeting either in person or via Zoom to delve into your vision, allowing me to grasp the type of ceremony you envision.
  • Next, I’ll ask you to fill out an information form, providing more details about yourself and specifying what you want to be included in your ceremony.
  • I will then embark on creating your ceremony, delving into who you are and incorporating your personal emotions, words, and desires. This process will result in a wedding ceremony that is unique and authentically reflects both of you.
  • If you opt for personalised vows, I’ll be there to help you craft them.
  • Having an optional rehearsal is highly recommended. It ensures that everyone, especially you, is well-informed about the sequence and details of your wedding ceremony, providing clarity on how it will unfold on the big day.
  • On your wedding day, I will stand by your side as both of you come together in one of the oldest and most significant ceremonies in the world: the union of marriage.
  • After you have tied the knot, I will present you with the marriage certificate signed by you, your witnesses, and myself during the ceremony. Additionally, you’ll receive a copy of the ceremony.
  • Following your wedding, I will electronically submit your marriage details to the NSW Department of Births, Deaths, and Marriages and then dispatch the official paperwork by mail. Should you wish to obtain a copy of your marriage certificate from BDM, I can also handle the lodgment process on your behalf. If you’re planning to change your surname, this document will be essential. Please note the department of BDM currently charges $65 for this document)
  • As your marriage celebrant, I will arrive at the ceremony venue approximately 60 to 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the ceremony.
NOTE

An extra travel fee will be applied for weddings where the round trip from Millthorpe to the wedding venue exceeds 100km. Furthermore, depending on the distance, an accommodation fee may be applicable.
