Master of Ceremonies

The Master of Ceremonies or MC for a wedding reception is so much more than just the person who introduces the speeches.

This is the person that will help you to build a reception that is all about you. They will help you to create a run sheet that
reflects the fun, excitement, and feel you are wanting from your special event.

On the day the Master of Ceremonies will be the overall host and coordinator for the wedding reception, making sure all elements are tied together.
They will also act as your representative who deals with any hiccups that may occur along the way.

Why have a professional Master of Ceremonies?

Having a professional Master of Ceremonies at your wedding reception takes the pressure off a friend or family member having the responsibility of doing this task. This is the person who will make sure your special day runs smoothly from start to finish.

If you selected me to be your Master of Ceremonies I will work with you to prepare a run sheet that will make sure the evening is all you want.

Then on the day, you will be able to relax, have fun, and party with family and friends knowing your wedding reception is in safe and experienced hands.

What to expect from me as your professional Master of Ceremonies.

* I will help you put together a reception program using activities and games with traditional and new ideas.
* I will help you create a run sheet of the event showing all details and timings.
* On the night I will liaise with your reception service providers (DJ, band, photographers, venue manager, etc).
* Assist the venue manager so the food and drink service runs smoothly.
* Make sure your schedule runs on time.
* Organising and announcing your arrival and the wedding party.
* Making sure you as the married couple are looked after at all times.
* Be the ‘Go-To’ person to help you and your guests.
* Being the buffer between you and any inconveniences and distractions that may arise.
* Introducing and assisting those giving speeches (and advising on speeches in advance).
* Introducing any traditional elements (cutting the cake, throwing the bouquet, etc)
* Announcing the first dance.
* Keeping the whole event running on time.
* Organising your farewell at the end of the event.

AboutTanya McDonald
It goes without saying that being a marriage celebrant is an honour and a privilege. I have loved weddings and what they represent for as long as I can remember. Since becoming a celebrant I am able to fulfill my passion and at the same time treasure each opportunity I have to work with couples to help them bring their dreams and ideas into life through their ceremonies. I have been a fully authorised marriage celebrant since 2014 and I have helped couples enjoy thier journey to the altar since then. If you need a celebrant, I would love to discuss your ceremony with you.
