Family, friend or professional MC?

Having a professional MC at your wedding reception takes the pressure off a friend or family member having the responsibility of doing this task. It allows them to be able to sit back and enjoy themselves rather than having to be on duty for the duration of your reception.

Your Reception

As your MC I will be the overall host and co-ordinator for your wedding reception, making sure all elements are tied together.

Having a Professional MC

The MC is the person who acts as your representative to ensure that what you want from your event happens and the one who deals with any hiccups that may occur along the way.

Celebrant & MC

If I have conducted your wedding ceremony and you select me as your reception MC, then it will be an easy and smooth transition between the two events.
From start to finish I will make sure each event reflects what you want from your special day.

As your MC I will make sure your special day runs smoothly from start to finish, being the point of contact that leaves you, your family, and the guests to enjoy the wedding reception experience.

As your MC I will work with you to build a reception that is all about you. It will reflect the fun, excitement and feel you are wanting from your special event.

What to expect from me as your MC

My role as your MC both before and during the reception:

  • Putting together a reception plan using traditional and new ideas
  • Preparing a run sheet of the event showing all details and timings
  • Liaising with your reception service providers (DJ, band, photographers, venue manager, etc)
  • Assisting the venue manager so the food and drink service runs smoothly
  • Make sure your schedule runs on time
  • Organising and announcing your arrival and at your wedding party
  • Making sure you as the married couple are looked after at all times
  • Being the ‘Go-To’ person to help you and your guests
  • Being the buffer between you and any inconveniences and distractions that may arise
  • Introducing and assisting those giving speeches (and advising on speeches in advance)
  • Introducing any traditional elements (cutting the cake, throwing the bouquet, etc)
  • Announcing the first dance
  • Keeping the whole event running to time
  • Organising your party farewell

Meeting

Meeting, whether in person or virtually is really important. This is the time you let me know your ideas and how you envision your reception.

Design

I will take your ideas and build them into a reception that is all you dream it to be.

Run Sheet

I will work with you to prepare a run sheet that will make sure the evening is all you want. Just as with your wedding ceremony, this should be designed for you as a couple.

Reception

Relax, have fun and party the night away with family and friends knowing your wedding reception is in safe and experienced hands.
